Caerphilly WI, 27th June 2018

This was our send visit to this venue in about six years, and so to the ladies of Caerphilly we were showing an entirely new collection of costumes. There were whoopings of joy when the ladies appeared in their finery, and a few moist eyes when we delivered our centennial tribute to the Suffragist movement and the armistice of 1918. Just for a moment the oohs and aahs gave way to silence for the Last Post, and Binyon's tribute to the fallen. As always, it was a very special time, but because of what each of us were remembering, it was just that little bit more special!
